Its good to talk about it. Idk if Lemmy has a wide enough range of political views for interesting discussions. It might just end up being lefties agreeing on most things.

This question made me come to a weird realization that I dont appreciate when people do or say nice things to me. I tried to think of something and I know that she has done plenty of nice things and said nice things but nothing stands out.

Then I thought about how I'd react if she did something nice for me and I realized I get annoyed and dislike it. I can handle small gifts but I don't like people doing things for me or helping me and I ignore compliments because I already feel comfortable with myself so I don't feel like I dont need them.

Im not even sure how to appreciate a gesture beyond just saying thankyou as a formality and trying to figure out how to pay them back.

Women have modern medicine and painkillers but the only repreive men have in their suffering is to be waited on hand and foot by their SO.

Can you quote the part that you believe supports your statements? The bit I think you are referencing doesn't support your statement at all.

Ok that's not really relevant unless you consider the lgbt community on 4chan to not be extremely bigoted or you consider hexbear to be extremely bigoted.

When you post in a thread you get an ID for that thread. When you post in a different thread you get a different id.

The only way i could see it working is following a particular board on an instance. So I might follow the fitness board on the chan.nz instance and id see all threads pop up and I could open them and view the comments just like on lemmy or mastodon. Actually I think that would work.

There is the overkill method of proxmox clustering VMs. You could work from a cloud instance of your distro. There is NixOS, you would clearly define your whole system and then back up and import your home folder when switching between the PCs. Since you are using an immutable distro already you can probably skip nix and use a onedrive type solution setup to sync your home directory. I havent used it but other people have suggested Syncthing and it seems like it would work for your use case and be the simplest option.

Its irrelevant whether or not life would be different under Russian rule. Russia choose to invade a sovereign nation. The fact that ukrainians are still fighting to this day shows they want to be independent.

What you linked does not support the statement that NATO choose violence by not negotiating.

4chan has a massive trans community and aggressively racisms and bigotrees on sight. Its the other end of the horseshoe

It would be hard to federate because there are no accounts, nothing to follow

I've been experimenting with this awesome mod and creating some interesting roads. I've ran into a lot of bugs especially with roads containing train tracks.

The first road I added was a 1 way highway that was train, car, car, bus This was good for cleanly getting rail into the hard to reach areas of the city but its very hard to peel the rail line off the road without artifacting and visual glitches.

The next road I tried was a CPP inspired rapid transit lane. Sidewalk - Bus - Median - tram, tram - median - bus - Sidewalk. This seems to work quite well for a central city public transport area. The only downside being that now I have to actually fix the godawful mess that is public transport in my city.

I want to put the steak onto a hot pan to get that sear on the outside and uh lock in the flavor or something. But butter burns at high heats and oil doesn't add flavor like butter.

Is there a way I can get the best of both? A nice sear but still cook in butter?

Says it's a stirlon for example.

Highly recommend reading this April fools post and the many comments of people who thought it was real.

How sick does this game look. When I saw the big Skeleton and the two baby skeletons I was instantly sold.

I was looking through Userbenchmarks at a few different GPU's and I noticed that every single review for all GPU's included a negative review about AMD GPU's falsifying data, paying people to shill and experienced gamers knowing that AMD is a bad choice. I looked a little further and saw that all these reviews came from one account and after digging more it seems that this is userbenchmarks account considering they've made videos expressing the same sentiment on their youtube channel.

Its insane to me how one of the highest trafficked hardware comparison websites is blatantly this biased and still has the balls to accuse AMD of paid sponsorship. What are some better hardware comparison sites to use?

I cant seem to get rid of the high rent tags on my residential and industrial sectors. For residential Ive tried adding low cost housing but i dont know what to try with industrial.

I am trying to install this package on Nobara 38 but it only seems to be available on Deb and Ubuntu https://pkgs.org/download/libpcre3-dev

I've looked around and it seems I need to build the package from source but I cannot find the source or figure out how to build it. I downloaded libpcre3-dev_8.39-15_amd64.deb but im not sure what to do with the file.

I found the PCRE website but it doesn't have a libpcre3-dev https://www.pcre.org/

It might just be easier to do what I need to do in an ubuntu VM. Any advice on how to get this package installed would be appreciated.
