We were thinking about that, but our yard is a bit complex with shape and existing features and would prefer a professional to help us think of any potential problems we'd run into.

Architect! That sounds more like what I'm wanting. I'll search around for one, thanks!

My wife and I are quite shit at design but are pretty handy. We recently bought a house, and we want to make the backyard a great hang out spot, but have no idea how to make it look good. I contacted a local landscaper about just paying for a design/plan and we would just DIY it but they never called us back. Is this an okay thing to hire for? Or do landscapers usually want to do the work themselves?

Fantastic movie. I went in without knowing anything other than "People said it was good", and I was blown away.

This post made me try again to find a solution, and maybe a USB extension cord with a on/off switch could work. It's not automated but would be more convenient than removing the dongle each time. I'm thinking something like this

I have this exact same problem, but with a Chevy bolt. Some cars USB ports are "always on" and some aren't. Might be worth trying different ones and see if there's a port that doesn't power on randomly. This didn't work on my car, but it's a common solution I came across when I was trying to figure it out. For now, I've just reverted back to wired AA.

They should use Lithium Iron batteries for a real LiFe pro tip

I want to post my design on Printables but my scad file uses a threads library found here. Should I just add a comment above the "use" statement with a link on where to get the library?

My coiled cable likes to rotate which makes the coil messy. This little 3d print I made keeps it nice and tidy. Hope it helps anyone with similar issues. You can find the files here: https://www.printables.com/model/433584-coiled-cable-lockaligner

Meet Kronk! We adopted him ~3 years ago, after being given up on by 2 other families. When we adopted him, it was clear he was never socialized and is very reactive to other dogs and some people (Specifically men, which makes me wonder what kind of life he had as a pup). We've been working with a specialized Vet and Trainer for 2 years now, and he's on some anxiety meds. He's improved quite a bit, but he's also gotten quite protective of my wife. So while I can walk him with only small reactions, my wife cannot. He's very reactive and is a bite risk when someone gets close. And since he's a cutie black lab, everyone wants to get close to pet him even when he's actively snapping at them since they're "Good with dogs" 😑 Anyways, we found a place that does a 3 week board and train to work with aggression, but I'm not sure how effective they are. I don't think he's going to get much better with us, since we have to focus on safety instead of training. And since he's been given up on twice, I don't want him to think we're abandoning him since its a long program. Does anyone have experience with these type of training programs?
