Actual war crime.

In an April 18 meeting, the Paramount board outlined acceptable financial terms for a potential settlement with the president, according to three people with knowledge of the internal discussions. The exact dollar amounts remain unclear, but the board's move clears a path for an out-of- court resolution.

Shari Redstone, the company's controlling shareholder, has said she favors settling the case. She is set to receive a major payday in a pending sale of Paramount to a Hollywood studio, Skydance, that requires sign-off from the Trump administration.

...because the only thing that Albertans were missing was more money in the politics. They really want to be just like the US.

“In the weeks and months ahead, Albertans will have an opportunity to discuss our province’s future, assess various options for strengthening and protecting our province against future hostile acts from Ottawa, and to ultimately choose a path forward,” she said in a statement Tuesday.

“As Premier, I will facilitate and lead this discussion and process with the sincere hope of securing a prosperous future for our province within a united Canada that respects our province’s constitutional rights, facilitates rather than blocks the development and export of our abundant resources, and treats us as a valued and respected partner within Confederation.”

Ms. Smith’s new proposals also include reintroducing corporate and union donations to parties, constituency associations, prospective candidate associations, leadership contestants and third-party election advertisers, including those campaigning in referendums. It also eased spending limits, among other changes.

Both the provincial New Democratic Party and the UCP previously took steps to limit the amount of corporate and union money in the electoral system.

"The leaders agreed on the importance of Canada and the United States working together- as independent, sovereign nations for their mutual betterment," the statement said.

To that end, the leaders agreed to meet in person in the near future."

The White House, however, signalled that Mr. Trump's campaign to absorb Canada will continue.

In a statement issued Tuesday, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said the Canadian election "does not affect President Trump's plan to make Canada America's cherished 51st state."

Absolutely disgraceful. Y'all are cooked.

A few rows back from the empty stage, Amanda Mainville burst into tears, and instantly, every camera in the vicinity swung its lens toward her. She shouted an expletive as she wiped her eyes, bathed in the blue light bouncing off the walls and stage.

Fortunately for her, Jon Gurman and his daughter Raquel were standing nearby, ready the moment the mood turned. Mr. Gurman reached into his jacket and produced a plastic canister labelled “Anti-Liberal Wipes" ("Now with extra logic!" was emblazoned across it) and a metal can of “Anti- Liberal Rash Cream." ... The previous night, she had attended the big rally in Mr. Poilievre's riding of Carleton on the outskirts of Ottawa- where, as of this writing, he was behind and at risk of losing his seat to his Liberal challenger. She found it to be a transformative experience, much different from watching his videos online.

"He fills my soul. When I watch him on the lives, it's one crying, we were in tears," she said. "You feel from the soul of Pierre, just bringing that out to everybody."

This is such a no-brainer. They should be banned from doing it, and their wealth should be locked away in a blind trust, until they finish their terms.

This is pretty crazy, but where are the volunteers? If people care so much then why aren't they offering to work at the polls?

I hope this gift article works🤞

"The researchers found that only one treatment — the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs, like ibuprofen and aspirin — was effective at reducing short-term, or acute, low back pain. Five other treatments had good enough evidence to be considered effective at reducing chronic low back pain. These were exercise; spinal manipulation, like you might receive from a chiropractor; taping the lower back; antidepressants; and the application of a cream that creates a warming sensation. Even so, the benefit was small."

"This is not the first time Musk has gone after the site. In December, he posted on X, “Stop donating to Wokepedia.” And that wasn’t even his first bad Wikipedia pun. “I will give them a billion dollars if they change their name to Dickipedia,” he wrote, in an October, 2023, post. It seemed to be an ego thing at first. Musk objected to being described on his page as an “early investor” in Tesla, rather than as a founder, which is how he prefers to be identified, and seemed frustrated that he couldn’t just buy the site. But lately Musk’s beef has merged with a general conviction on the right that Wikipedia—which, like all encyclopedias, is a tertiary source that relies on original reporting and research done by other media and scholars—is biased against conservatives."

At least 274 Kenyan workers, mostly women, have died in Saudi Arabia in the past five years — an extraordinary figure for a young work force doing jobs that, in most countries, are considered extremely safe. At least 55 Kenyan workers died last year, twice as many as the previous year.

Absolutely heartbreaking article.

"Canadians may have gone in for wokeness in recent years, it is true, but there is the matter of their bloody-minded DNA. It was not that long ago that they harvested baby seals—the ones with the big, sad, adorable brown eyes—with short iron clubs. They love hockey, a sport that would have pleased the emperors and blood-crazed plebeians and patricians of ancient Rome if they could only have figured out how to build an ice rink in the Colosseum." 😅
