As the younger generations shrink it will become harder and harder to economically support public education. I am pro public education. This is an issue we need to figure out.
I know someone that hasn't paid taxes in years. Hasn't been hounded by the IRS yet. Everything in our society is people. People are fallible. The image that the system is working is more powerful than the actual system at work.

Social skills in general are by far the most important in just about every aspect of life. 1 man can only do so much. 1 man that can organize a million men can take over the world.
Every person's media bubble is tuned to them. If they're disinterested in politics their algorithm will steer them right away from all the troubles that were abundantly aware of.
This problem goes beyond capitalism. Even in a communist, socialist, anarchical, or whatever system you have to figure out a way to get people to spend a good portion of their lives doing things they don't typically want to do.
In this case how do you get hundreds of people to continue working at these power grid companies if they're in the red and eventually run out of money? People won't stay around without a paycheck.
Triple that and it's still a poverty wage in many parts of California.
