My mother in law who's a staunch Republican told my husband that she shouldn't have to learn anything new at her age. This is the type of people we're dealing with. They are willfully and spitefully ignorant.

I had no idea that Roth directed this movie. Like who thought that getting a cheesy splatter film director was a great decision? Honestly they got what they deserved with this mess.

Well that is certainly a comfort and gives more credit towards not trying and sentencing teens like they're adults.

I do wonder if the reasoning behind trying teen shooters as adults is to ensure that their record sticks into adulthood. When you are charged as a juvenile your records are expunged upon turning 18. I certainly would want to make sure that this person could never legally own a gun again.

I once got a call from friends at ten in the morning asking if I could go to my goddaughter's mother's Day brunch at the daycare so she wouldn't be alone. Apparently mom couldn't get the day off and grandmall was supposed to go but grandmall fell sick that morning. So I was the hail Mary call and I just happened to be on PTO that day. You're damn right I dropped everything to go have juice and cookies and make bracelets with my girl. Point is that everyone who can and gives a shit is already involved in childcare.

Omg yes! I perform drug testing and I've had instances where nurses called CPS before we could give them a confirmation result causing mayhem for all involved. It makes me want to scream whenever I see screening tests used as evidence against people. Any hospital or government agency making those kinds of decisions based on a screen should be sued to high hell. Also fun fact really high levels of Benadryl will cause you to pop positive for PCP on most drug screens. I've had to talk a handful of pediatricians down about that over the years too.

This is extremely troubling news. It is really important to find out exactly what the compromise was here. Was the legit clinic using an unsecure platform or do they have a bad actor among them. I did find it interesting that the third party software companies weren't commenting on the case. It would be absolute mayhem in the healthcare industry if it turns out that the software was easily compromised by bad actors. I understand that a lot of smaller companies "get what they pay for" however HIPAA isn't something to fuck around with. And I would definitely like to see some criminal charges for the crisis center's theft of data and patients here. Those snake oil salesmen are a plague on real healthcare.

This was mostly my experience too. I don't think the Internet itself was as big of a game changer as the advent of smart phones. My day to day didn't change too much from a pre Internet life to a post Internet life until smart phones came along. Once everyone was able to access the Internet from their pocket is when things really changed.

Not gonna lie I'd love to play the second DM's game as a one shot.

That's pretty cool! I'll have to check this place out.

"Only thing stopping them from sending hired thugs to your house to shake the change out your pockets is the law. "

This is how I feel about ads. Ads are legal psychological warfare with the sole aim of stealing your money.

What a weird point of view in the pic. I can tell this is in the bottom but I can't figure out which roof this was taken from. Maybe a drone shot?

It's a sad day (magic.wizards.com)

Here's another old picture from my vault. This is one of our Greenbottle blue tarantulas (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens). We spent the day watching this little guy molt from start to finish and took pictures of the whole process. You can see in this picture that he is laid out on his back on his molting malt. At this stage he has split from the carapace lengthwise down the sides and is currently pulling his legs out of the molt. We had two at the time and wanted to breed them but they both turned out to males.

Playing a game of magic with my husband at the table and look over to see Bert giving us side-eye. Bert prefers dance parties over card games.

Here's a pic of my favorite little guy and one the only good pictures I've ever taken. Unfortunately he turned out to be a male so I didn't have him too long but he was a great tarantula to keep.

I don't know how many of you follow Mr Max on YouTube. There are many videos of him throwing tantrums about going to the vet. A new video just came out and we finally get to see what all the fuss is about!
