Pretty happy with Brave, but I'm guessing that being a downstream chromium fork they'll eventually be stuffed and forced into using V3?

Perfect example of continual enshitification, there's no reason even a 15s "short" or other quick media couldn't have video controls, it's just intentional because some dogshit behavioural phycologist they've paid said that's the best way to coerce more engagement.
The performance has been pretty shocking at launch even with the latest patch. What's even more shocking has been the super bad takes from the steam forum commentators such as:
- skylines 1 also launched poorly, it's fine
- at 100k sims in skylines 1 you only used to get 30 FPS max so why are you complaining
- just drop your settings to low for everything it's fine (and also it looks like shit)
- I've had no issues on MY computer, it's perfectly smooth (it's running at 15-25FPS)
- get better hardware (it runs poorly at 100k with a 13900k + 4090, upgrade to what, a supercomputer?)
I get that people invested want to bootlick their favorite company, but pushing out games that are clearly not finished isn't great

Spot on. People are out here trying to play like almond, oat, soy and every other milk substitute is exactly the same as dairy based milk, it's not and will not ever be, they're different products
Also pretending that people swapping from dairy to alternate milks will somehow impact the looming climate crisis is also pretty disingenuous

I've never even seen this thing? All the Chromecast I've seen over the last 4-5 years have been in-built modules in Android TVs.
