I thing Dutch people from my generation have you all beat:

Purno de Purno (porn pun very much intended)

A psychedelic cartoon about a funny guy in spandex that has a shitload of nudity (tits, penisses etc) to the point of him even crawling in the vagina of a giant lady in space. It has references to litaral drug use. Have a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o6MIJ7Iq1U doesn't matter if you know the language, just browse through. That episode is called 'In het hol van de kietelaar' which translates to 'In the clitoris' lair (hole)'

This was on kids tv. Nobody got seriously harmed by it. It was funny and weird, but you don't really register exactltyy how weird it is untill you hear about sensitivities on US TV (nipplegate lol)

a stll, much more to find

I like that connect let's you block an instance and then has comments from users of said instance overwritten with a spoiler-type tag. That way you can decide to read those comments or not (I sometimes open them in non political threads).

I'm as jaded as anyone on social media, but I do believe there are Israelis that oppose Netanyahu and his murderous regime.

I understand if the families only care about the hostages, as they have a personal grievance. But I don't believe every Israelite is blind to the horror.

If poisoning young boys minds and vilifying masculinity was cause for punishment, Tate should drink the hemlock.

I'm split on this. Most people here that love the time shift also love winter. I don't love winter but I do love it getting dark sooner.

By raising for the first time the idea of sending troops to Ukraine, the French leader "has taken a further step toward belligerence," blasted his rival Marine Le Pen, of the far-right Rassemblement National (RN) party. She accused him of "posing an existential risk to 70 million French people, and more particularly to our armed forces already deployed in Eastern Europe."

"You've been waiting for the first opportunity to remind people of your true loyalties [and] "show your true colors," retorted Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who had left the Paris Agricultural Show to attend the verbal joust. "When you read the investigations that are being carried out, [such as one published by the Washington Post on December 30, showing the RN's persistent links with Moscow], you have to wonder whether Vladimir Putin's troops aren't already in our country," he continued. "I'm talking about you and your troops, Ms. Le Pen."

When browsing on any other setting, at some point I'm back to local/active. This is annoying since when I switch back to another setting, it hasn't saved where I am, so I have to read through all the same posts again.
