There were some neat ideas in 4th at least.
I look at editions as toolboxes to draw from in my own game, and 4th had a few good tools to it. The forest might have been unwanted, but there were some pretty trees.

How intense is the item/upgrade shop? Like, is it gonna take me months to master or are most upgrades fairly straightforward?
I am WAY ootl on shopping for PCs and hardware, all the sites I used last time i did anything (god, around like 2008?) are quite defunct. Anywhere you'd recommend looking for a desktop like you're talking about? I'd love to get my home on a selfhosted network.

That said, if you've got a huge truck (and I live in the country and work blue collar so I get it, sometimes you need one), have a small car too. Trucks aren't cheap, you can afford a Civic for the city.
