As you can find in the link, Robot Carnival is an older animated anthology movie from 1987 with a similar scifi focus. It's by no means the same beyond that though, but still a good watch if you're a fan of scifi animation.

Also it's pretty easy to find somewhere to watch it for free across different streaming services, e.g. Retrocrush, Tubi, Freevee, Roku Channel, etc.

does this circus have many hands?

If sociology's exclusive to humans, then what might be the field of other social animal research?

Cross-posting has struck me as a little strange and I think maybe this is a part of it.

Doesn't it benefit larger communities more than smaller ones by keeping the activity in a larger one, since they can comment there rather than go to the smaller community? 🤔

Original title: What do you take more time with when creating a new forum/social account, or character (in a story/game), name or avatar/appearance selection/creation?

I'm thinking of ways to help people move from established software to more open, flexible forms that don't lock them to another organization.

And what do you think helped keep the group work from falling into the stereotypical exercise in frustration?

When you say hide it, do you mean back where you found it or elsewhere? Are there some that encourage you to add/move parts of the caches around from one to another?

Ah, that reminds me of some similar puzzle/kits made of metal! I'm forgetting the name for the specific one right now, but there appear to be a few different companies behind them from trying to search & find the one I was thinking of.

What is FPV short for? I'd guess given the RC mention (remote control?) that it may be first-person view?

The thing is, I don’t think a guide is really needed to install Linux. Most of it is pretty straight-forward. (The only tricky bit that comes to mind is making the USB that you’ve put your distro on bootable. That probably isn’t obvious; and it might not be obvious how to get your computer to boot from a USB anyway if you’ve never done it before.)

It's been awhile since I installed a Linux distro...Have some of them improved guidance related to allocating disk space on install? I remember that was one of the parts that I wasn't entirely confident I'd handled properly the last few times I did so. Something something swap, something /, and the like.

What is college? Is it employed for middle school or high school? If so then no.

It's for post-high school education, also referred to as higher education in my area. Generally they're synonymous with universities in that respect where I'm from, and while I'm sure there may be some slight difference between the two (probably more distinct in other areas), I don't know what they are exactly.

But as someone who has gone on to do actual research at an academic level, I’d say the essential challenge of the task wasn’t even touched. Which is getting to the bottom of a question or field, exploring the material on said topic and then digesting and synthesising all of that. Some may hit this in undergrad depending on the degree, and it’s tricky work to do well and at an advanced level.

From what I’ve seen, the ideas and techniques required aren’t covered early on at all. Now it may be rather challenging at an early educational level, but I’d bet you it’s possible but undesirable because it’s hard to grade and takes a long time.

Without having gone on to do actual research, but with at least undergrad completed, I'm inclined to agree. Despite having completed undergrad, even it left me wondering a fair amount how much I'd just been a terrible student or how much my education had somehow managed to sort of gloss over or speed over rather critical research skills to develop.

Sure, I knew how to search for info and kind of weigh the sources, as some others have noted, but the more involved work like you describe? Not so much, and I'm fairly confident it was as much to do with the curriculum as it was to do with the limited time each class/course had to work with (plus accounting for the fact you'd also be muddling through multiple other classes/courses), which wouldn't necessarily even permit for assignments that would have one digging in and really researching thoroughly.

The limitations are severe however and I would never suggest to anyone to use IRC as a text chat server.

I'm a little confused, if all you wanted from it was text chat, isn't that pretty much exactly what it is as a result of its limitations? Regardless, for the majority of folks I think you're probably right that it may not be advisable given its limits.

Would it get just right if you just poured the dough directly through the stove into the oven?
