A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.

It is absolutely incredible that the only thing that outweighs their malice is their gross incompetence, which for better or worse may be our saving grace in undoing this mess

Automakers had to lobby for this to happen, he’s either a moron or he’s running a racket… oh wait it’s both!

I respect your optimism, I truly hope you’re right. I don’t think we’re locked in for human extinction just yet, but we have a lot of work to do as a society to avoid that.

Spoiler alert, we’re fucked. That’s what the assessment would have said at least.

You’re right. If the government did not already have a history of essentially human trafficking innocent people, I would be much less inclined to care about this

Once again, Gen X left out of the conversation when they still make up a large percentage of the workforce lol.

Being a millennial in the workplace right now is giving me whiplash. Boomers are essentially the old guard and their ways of running business are going the way of the dodo, though I was brought up in that climate and sort of got used to it. While work environments had a tendency to be toxic, I did find some merits in their approach.

Gen Z is almost like the polar opposite reaction to boomer workplace culture. While I think going away from that is a good thing, I also think there have been overcorrections. The culture clash is noticeable and the fact that the old guard seems to be ignoring it only adds to the challenge.

What “illegal immigrants” in their right mind would be out partying at an after hours night club with everything going on? I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a few, but 100? This reeks of steamed hams. 100 migrants localized entirely in this illegal nightclub, in this political climate? I would like to see the evidence

Is that good?

Just like Gen Z fucked up by being in elementary school or even diapers instead of buying property in 2008. You’ve goofed by not building factories instead of eating, where’s your grind mentality?

I could hear a handful of podcasts out there saying this unironically. Society is cooked

They just don’t want to acknowledge it’s happening already because that would drive markets further down. It’s happening.

I don’t particularly want to watch the world burn, but if it’s out of my hands you might as well pass me some popcorn 😂

As we get closer to this coming to fruition, forecast confidence is increasing that this will be a significant event. I have linked the latest forecast from the storm prediction center, but I also recommend using local sources as well if available. If you live in Michigan, “Michigan Storm Chasers” are on Facebook and YouTube, they’re providing the best statewide forecasts currently with easy to digest information and no senseless hype. Nationally, I’ve found Max Velocity to be a decent source on YouTube. NOAA and NWS are currently strained to the max, so being weather aware is paramount at a time like this.
