Community Revival
This community is for discussion of dead communities and the planning of reviving them.
What should a post/comment look like?
A post ideally would be mentioning that community, what value it could contribute to the fediverse, how much dedication it would take and approximately how many mods there should be, and a call for volunteers.
A comment should be a suggestion, correction or volunteering.
What is a dead community?
A community which all mods are inactive for more than 3 months, and the modlog has had no activity for the same time.
Please ping all the admins in the comments too, this is necessary.
Rules
The rules are very simple.
- All posts must be about a dead community. Meta posts should be marked [META]
- Be nice.
... i will work on the icon/banner later ;)

Dang it, this is the second time i forgot and you reminded me. Thanks :D
Inactive mods: @108beads@lemm.ee @CantSt0pPoppin@lemmy.world @jelloeater85@lemmy.world @talanorchous@lemmy.world @ZenGrammy@lemmy.world
For any of those pinged above please mention if you are alive or not - thanks :)
People are clearly using it so I hope you get it. Maybe I could mod too if you want, but no big deal either way.
I actually got it yesterday, after two weeks of trying. Sure, I'll add you as a mod :)
Edit: added!
Oh OK, thanks but I don't see how to do anything beyond user capabilities lol. Am I supposed to accept the role somewhere first?
Nope, it should work for you - are you not a mod? If so, comment anything in the comment and i'll try again.
I'm gonna have to retry this on desktop... I'll let you know. I guess Thunder has no moderation features.
EDIT: Yeah, @fxomt@lemmy.dbzer0.com I am not listed as a mod and don't know how to accept the invitation as I don't see any!
It's a lemmy bug, i'm talking to the admins and i hope i can get it fixed. I haven't forgotten about you dw, still getting it working sadly
I'm in! Though I didn't actually know that you already had a roster of mods, haha, so I'm probably not needed, but I'll still check for spam and stuff.
I don't, those are just the inactive mods. I've removed them already so i'll need to search for others
It's a Lemmy bug, you can't add mods from remote accounts
I figured. Moderation from remote instances is buggy as hell, hope they fix it. Corrected the og comment btw, thanks
