What is Critical Role?

Critical Role is a group of nerdy-ass voice actors who sit around and play Dungeons & Dragons.

Streams every Thursday at 7pm PT and then rebroadcasts the following Friday at 12am and 9am PT on Twitch.

Sam's Fireside Q&A

  • Sam met folks who worked for NASA this weekend and they gave him a patch that said, "IT'S ROUND WE CHECKED!"
  • Braius's Bard subclass is the custom one Matt Mercer made, the College of Tragedy
  • Sam GMs a home campaign for his kids and their friends that's set at the Wildemount Wildlings Camp
  • Playing D&D doesn't feel like a job yet, some parts feel job-ish, but when they're at the table...that feels like him hanging out with his friends and they're very good at making sure that that's their special time and Matt's great at reminding them that this is their holy time with each other
  • Sam would prefer to fight 5 Scanlan-sized Braiuses (Braii?) and not a Braius-sized Scanlan.
  • Talking about the selection process for his funny shirts
