Never ever in my life have I seen three leftys in a row.

[–] Grandwolf319@sh.itjust.works 38 points 2 months ago

Plot twist, the teacher segregated the class cause they didn’t allow them to do it by race and gender.

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

Really? I tend to find that lefties unconsciously gather together. Like their demon blood compels them to.

[–] Ziglin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

It certainly did when I was younger.

This is too far in the wrong direction lol, there was tons of drama in HS, just not as much as TV producers think LMAO

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Depends on what clique you were in and also the drama is way less interesting than every hormone-doped teen thought it really was

[–] cm0002@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Was it really though? HS drama was way more fun than adult workplace drama

[–] DeepSeaHexapus@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yeah it was mainly who pissed on who's locker and who skipped school with so and so's SO.

Lol we had a kid piss in his exes locker. Rumor has it that his buddy came in a bottle too but I don't buy that part.

[–] otter@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I like the attention to detail with the windows after the kid ran to the other side of the school

I like that Kevin and the Blue guy end up in the same classroom despite running opposite directions.

My guess: Kevin needed the bathroom fast, hence the sweat

[–] otter@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That might not be Kevin actually, looks like Kevin was wearing matching blue pants. Unless something happened in the bathroom anyway

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 months ago

Kevin's the orange guy, but you're right the blue guy in the corridor has a green shirt and blue trousers, different from the blue guy in the classroom with the blue shirt and black trousers

[–] abbadon420@lemm.ee 14 points 2 months ago (2 children)

You fail to picture the constant smell of sweaty teenagers in the classroom

[–] RobotZap10000@feddit.nl 6 points 2 months ago

I didn't experience that, but only because it was replaced by a noxious miasma of spray deodorant.

[–] nwtreeoctopus@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

My fourth period always comes in complaining about the smell of third period. Sorry, folks, you all smell.

(But not as much as middle schoolers)

[–] chicken@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 2 months ago

Yeah it was just like this and absolutely miserable

[–] TheRagingGeek@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

According to my high schooler this would be inaccurate, as in his school people would be on their phones, creating tiktoks, screaming across the room at each other and barely getting anything done. This does resemble my high school experience like 20 years ago lol

[–] BigBananaDealer@lemm.ee 4 points 2 months ago

smoking in the bathroom got easier but then they removed the bathroom doors

[–] smeg@feddit.uk 11 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Are those desks with built-in chairs? Is that actually a thing?

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 15 points 2 months ago (3 children)

You don't have these?

Even in college, I'm sitting in these horrible things.

[–] smeg@feddit.uk 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Reminds me of these:

And the only time I saw one of those was on a school trip when we learned about life during WW2

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 8 points 2 months ago

We had modern versions of these in the 90s. The desks were dope too, you could store your lunch in there and school meals were subsidised enough that people usually wouldn't steal.

Also you could keep your slingshot, stash of cherry bombs, firecrackers, ar-15 ammunition, nazi memorabilia, and nuclear arsenal launch codes in there and no one would say a thing. Sigh the world is too safe now.

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

I have never in my life encountered one.

[–] answersplease77@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I get ptsd just by looking at the picture. sitting in that thing for 6-hrs doing time-constrained exams in a mass hall with 1000 other students... fuck fuck

[–] Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They make THE BEST spine-crackers. You missed out.

[–] KnowledgeableNip@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

It has been 16 years since high school and I still miss cracking my back on these things.

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] smeg@feddit.uk 2 points 2 months ago (2 children)

So what did you do when you needed to move around to do group work or anything that required a larger table?

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

They could be moved and made to face each other

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I got pretty good at squatting and moving them around like I was wearing a go-kart costume.

[–] smeg@feddit.uk 1 points 2 months ago

Wait until you see work and raising a family

[–] SouthFresh@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Missing a kid asleep, also the kid who only wears shorts. Lockers, I'm assuming, are where the guns are kept?

[–] Wutchilli 12 points 2 months ago

Dude in grey is sleeping and we dont see the legs(might wear shorts)

[–] Bananigans@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 months ago

Depends if your school requires clear backpacks or not.
