🫡 Operation "HUR-KIT" - scouts conducted an atypical evacuation from Zmiiny Island
💪 The approach of winter frost complicates the carefree life of numerous cats and kittens living on Snake Island. So the soldiers of the "Timur Special Unit" of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who were on patrol, decided to do an important thing - evacuate 15 animals from the island to the "big land".
🐈 The cats were carefully brought to Sirius, one of the largest animal shelters in Ukraine, and the rescue operation was supported by the Come Back Alive Foundation and the MacPaw Foundation.
☝️ After the adaptation of cats rescued from the famous Snake, everyone who wants to will have the opportunity to shelter one of them and take care of them in the shelter "Sirius", which directly deals with adoption.
❗️ We would like to remind you that soldiers of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian charitable foundations are not the first to save animals during war.
🦉 During a combat operation in the Kharkiv region this year, servicemen of the 92nd OShBr discovered hungry owlets locked in a cage in a destroyed house. The birds were rescued andhanded over to the custody of Kyryl Budanov,head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Ukraine. The head of the special service is known to love animals: he has cats Günter and Zmiy, a frog Petro and canaries.
🤝 And in April 2022, after the de-occupation of Kyiv region, volunteers of the "Return to Life" and MacPaw Foundation funds were the first to bring feed and everything necessary for animal care to the "Sirius" shelter.
