I really hope Valve will come out with a new VR headset. I refuse to use any service from Meta.

I'm guessing it'll be another high end product, when they need a lower-end product to get VR to the masses. Basically, what Steam Deck did for handheld gaming.
If I could get a VR headset for <$500 that's compatible with my Linux/AMD system, I'd probably buy it today. The $1k asking price for the Index is a bit too high for a novelty. The Steam Deck came under that amount, so I bought it, and I love it.
