Are you like me and miss Dungeon Meshi? Looking for something to plug that "diving into a dungeon to search for a lost family member" shaped hole in your heart? Well, look no further! At least, based on the first episode it seems like this will be a bit of a blend between light-hearted, silly fun and "my father has been missing for three years and might be dead" serious.
One thing I am not sure about is why Clay didn't ask about her father directly even after she lost the fight? In any case, this show has been fun so far.
I like it. I love the derpy design and I can’t wait to have those cute characters come up with fucked up traps to kill human adventurers. This is my favorite till now.
Really nice introduction. I wonder if her father went into this specific dungeon or some other one.
It would be sad if He got cursed with amnesia due to love of her daughter.
The administrator did mention cursing Clay to alter her memories, so it is something that is possible. Time will tell I guess.
This was fine. CGDCT isn't really my genre, but the animation was nice and the fights were (unexpectedly) dynamic and fun to watch. The comparison to Dungeon Meshi is obvious and not flattering, but that's not really a fair standard to hold things to. The plot is serviceable, though like other have said, I'm very confused why Clay didn't just ask about her father.
Overall, it's something I wouldn't turn off if it were on, but I don't know that I'll bother to watch any more. 3/5
Who else was waiting for the question about her father, and why didn't it come up before discussing employment?
Cute, but it seems pretty straightforward.
Maybe it wasn't in the spirit of the source material to break the atmosphere by showing some dark undertones?
I want the writing to do a little more before I fully buy in on this, but it's good enough to watch another episode.
