You're one to talk, Jill.
Politics Unfiltered
A fresh perspective on political news, spotlighting voices and viewpoints beyond the mainstream.
We dive into third-party movements, alternative policies, and underrepresented ideas, offering a space for independent thinking.
Here, diverse political opinions are encouraged, making room for honest discussions about the full spectrum of political possibilities.
Do you realize that even if every person who voted for Jill Stein or any other third-party candidate had voted for Harris instead, Harris still would have lost?
The margin was big enough that, even without third-party candidates, Trump would have still won the popular vote.
So why are you mad at Jill Stein when her absence wouldn’t have changed the outcome at all?
Oh to be clear I don't care about her. At all.
What I do care about is the Green Party under her leadership ineffectually doing anything anywhere. There are candidates from a larger variety of political parties active in state politics than ever before in my lifetime. Communists, socialists, democratic socialists, libertarians, constitutionalists, independents, etc etc etc.
But the Green Party seems to enjoy spending all their money, time, and effort to do literally nothing outside of putting Jill's name on the national ballot once every 4 years.
If the Green Party truly stands for what they claim to, they should be trying to affect grassroots change every year.
Well they have run in local elections and there are quite a few Green Party officials out there. But they should def by trying for more congress roles too.

Why is she still talking? I would have expected the stream of rubles to dry up by now
Because she wasn't really a russian asset. Also, even if ever single person who voted third party, and put their votes towards Harris, Harris still would have lost. That's how large the victory margin was for Trump.
Friend, Jill Stein and third parties weren't the reason you lost. I didn't vote for Trump and I think he'll be bad for things. But hopefully this inspires the DNC to change.
Jill betrayed her country. 🤷♂️
Why? Even if everyone who voted for Jill Stein, combined with everyone who voted third party, Harris still would have lost the election. That’s how large the margin was.
So exactly how did she betray the country? Because she ran third party? Which didn't change the election results at all?
And do you know how many people on Lemmy are now suddenly saying that we need a third party now, because they feel betrayed by the Democrats?
I'm sooo glad I voted socialist and stuck to my values. No soul-searching for me after the election! I did the right thing.
This has already been explained.
she's not wrong
Nope. She's right.
All the way right.
She could argue 2+2 is 4 and the reply remains "Fuck off, Jill."
Why? Even if everyone who voted for Jill Stein, combined with everyone who voted third party, Harris still would have lost the election. That's how large the margin was.
Harris even lost the popular vote! Seems like Jill Stein should be the least of the Dem party's concerns.
'We're so fucked that a divisive plant wasn't even necessary' does not excuse this divisive plant.
No more than it excuses the other dozen contingency plans to steal an election for a fascist, if Americans could be trusted to show up against fascism. The Idiot was already filing lawsuits and ranting about fraud. That's awful if it works. That's awful if it fails. That's awful if, fuck us, it's simply redundant.
I don't think she was a plant though. The Green Party chose her. Do you think they are all plants then?
