At this point I wonder what's stopping them from keeping Red Engine preserved or open sourcing it. After ditching it for Witcher 4, they've added Phantom Liberty, Next Gen patch for Witcher 3, DLSS FrameGen, RT Overdrive, RT Ray Reconstruction, Mod Tools, probably a PS5 Pro Patch, and now Mac port. That's a lot of work for an abandoned engine.

Do you think they can run Skyrim on it yet?

Actually now that mod tools are out for Witcher, I wouldn't be surprised if someone starts a Witchrim mod lol.

Probably Starfield would be the Bethesda game to benefit more from it. At least they could make cities feel like cities.

Apple probably paid for it

I hope they overcharged, turnabout is fair play

Because they want to sell more?

Hey guys look, we can play this 4 year old game on our 4000 dollar laptop. Sick, right?

Jokes aside, the M1 lines could play the game with wine/x86->ARM layers pretty well! So I’m curious how it would perform directly on the metal without all of this.

I was thinking recently how it does not seem like ti would take a lot to have a special edition where jackie keeps the implant and you then get him on all missions and the goal is to save him. Could even have the services because like he has to stay hidden or such. Like hes only with you on the missions but you still have to do all the talking and leg work while he hides out.
