This particular picture is from before Girl has OpenWellington inside her head. Afterwards she can stream audio through it directly to the brain, but she still listens to her OpenWalker device (which plays audio tapes), which was gifted to her by Beastie. Nostalgic value, I suppose?
I've only understood two of these comics, but I really love the art style and being confused, so I keep coming back to them! Thank you for existing!
Lately I feel more urge to perform more OpenBSD installations. These beautiful images (thank you!) do have its subtle effects :)
