@planet @clojure "Data compliance is perhaps the most important reason. Regulations may require us to keep track of data, perhaps for years."

They also sometimes require us to irreversibly destroy data. That's an important catch.

tl;dr: crud lets you remove things. this is bad, because you always need to keep all data and never get rid of it.
