I'm looking for sci-fi books that are (partially or fully) about environmentalism, preserving nature or the consequences of not doing so.

A Half-Built Garden by Ruthanna Emrys deals with environmental questions a lot. Humanity is starting to fix climate change when aliens come to earth to save everyone by evacuating them to their space stations. Not the best book I have read this year (too much talking really), but I keep thinking about some of its premises.
