I scrolled, saw the top part, thought, bold, but I think it can work. Than I scrolled some more and got to the trousers. For me, they really don't work with the rest.

I think it works. It's a lot of colors and textures going on here. The pants are what bother me. Crop those out and it looks great. Maybe a darker pant is called for here? Would experiment with the pants.

Hmm I was hoping the lighter pants would match the light tie, making it stand out less, but maybe you're right 👍 I'll try that next time.

The look says "I'm interesting". Don't let it down. Take risks and stay loose.

A bit too costumey for me, especially with the thematic colors working in the rest of the outfit. White ties aren't really used because they're kind of a fashion oxymoron, tonally speaking

Appreciate the feedback 👍

Tight. Some don't like the lighter pants, but they tone down the formality, especially with the casual bracelet. Spot on. And I'm mad jealous of the pocket square, struggle with those.

[–] Jilanico@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Thanks 🙌 you'd think it'd be straightforward, but different sizes of pocket squares combined with different pocket sizes/depths makes it a struggle for sure 😓

The blazer and shirt work together, the shirt and tie work together. But all 3, from a color perspective, don't. The white is took bright in that context

I guess I'm in the minority, but I really like it

Ok gotta try this look next. But where to get glasses like that? 🤔

[–] Zannsolo@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Better come with a long twirly mustache

I'm also on team "that pant needs to be darker". Maybe a dark green pant?

Top half looks amazing tho.

[–] Flocklesscrow@lemm.ee 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Dark grey/charcoal perhaps?

[–] odium@programming.dev 2 points 2 months ago

That sounds good to me too.

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee 2 points 2 months ago

Double green? Gumby power

[–] Jilanico@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Thanks! I plan on getting some dark green pants so I'll give it a shot 👍

Outstanding! Going to start looking for a white tie now.

may be a culture thing, but where i live the only time you would wear a white tie is at a funeral.

indeed! seems to be very much a local thing then.
