I want to have a place where fans can come to praise, discuss, and even criticise things in the Star Trek franchise. No show or movie is perfect, and I don't believe people should be silenced for having a dissenting opinion. That being said, there are still a few rules.

Be Nice - No personal attacks. You can disagree with someone's opinion, but it needs to stop there.

No Slurs - This is applicable to ethnicity, religion, gender, or anything else.

No Adult Content - Keep it family friendly.

No Spamming or Trolling - Consistently spamming comments or trolling is just not needed.

Please keep topics Trek related or Trek adjacent for the most part, and have fun!

I so.etimes watch the dedicated ds9 channel on Pluto TV in bed if I'm having trouble sleeping. It's great because I've seen ds9 a million times so I don't feel obligated to pay attention making it good background noise

I can't say I've ever tried that to fall asleep, but I will put something on in the background as I'm working on projects. I've never been able to do it with DS9 though, because I always end up watching it instead of working!

Usually when I can't sleep it's because my brain can't shut up. Listening to quark talking about latinum turned down low.helps.

With the anniversary of the first episode happening in the last week, I decided to watch the 30th anniversary episodes.

DS9 5x06 Trials and Tribble-ations - I always enjoy this episode, and I have a lot of admiration for the production crew being able to pull it off! It's definitely a light and humorous episode, but I don't need or want every episode to be high stakes!
VOY 3x02 Flashback - Definitely not as light as the DS9 episode, but it was a good way of bringing in some of the TOS characters and showing some alternative angles of Star Trek VI. Definitely an interesting watch.

Some Lower Decks! I'll admit I wasn't a big fan of the first season, but I thought season 2 and onward was better. I'm not always a fan of the style of humor, but I do get some laughs here and there! I would certainly watch a Star Trek animated drama series if they made it.

The constant memes on lemmy is more than enough Trek. When I get a itch for Trek I open lemmy and that itch is scratched so lemmy is causing me to not watch it
