The Allman Brothers started a five week run at the top of the Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart with "Brothers And Sisters", the group's only US #1 LP. Led by the single, "Ramblin' Man", the album sold 760,000 copies in its first three weeks.

I know it's not the same, but my generation of discovering them was early 2000's and they had a huge impact on what I liked after that. I saw them tour 3 years in a row when it was Warren Haynes and Derick Trucks filling in and is still some of the best live shows I've ever seen and I have gone to a decent amount in my life.

As I am winding down and getting older, my music discovery and time spent listening to new music has slowed. Due to this I feel like I have even more respect for Allmen Brothers now and hold them even higher on my list of favorite bands that ever existed.
