The idea was, that he does not like the drink and spits it back.
I got the impression that it might be a spittoon.
So are the eyes, they start off cute but become grotesque towards the end.
He isn't drinking, he's spitting. The cup gets more full toward the end than it was at the start!
I, too, like to drink lime Jell-O for breakfast.
