Wird korrekt angezeigt, die Idee kam mir auch, da Feddit mir schonmal ein zu großes GIF zu webm konvertierte.

Mein 3mb Bild wurde von tchncs Mastodon auf 1mb reduziert, dass 5mb PNG von halbgebildet auf 1,1mb.
Das von kplx auf mastodon.social blieb mit über 3mb recht groß.
Also ja, ich denke auch, es liegt an der Größe und mastodon.social komprimiert wohl anders oder gar nicht.
