I'd like to play an old classic witch has never made it to modern consoles or steam, I found this site but I don't know if I can trust it

Just use the nointro romsets off archive.org. About as close as you can get to dumping the cartridges yourself.

Yes, technically, some game ROM could be coded to exploit some emulator zeroday but because the market is tiny it seems very unlikely
