Rat Race is a 2001 American comedy film directed by Jerry Zucker. Inspired by Stanley Kramer's 1963 film It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, the film features an ensemble cast consisting of Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg, Cuba Gooding Jr., Wayne Knight, Jon Lovitz, Kathy Najimy, Lanei Chapman, Breckin Meyer, Amy Smart, Seth Green, Vince Vieluf, John Cleese and Dave Thomas.

The writer of this film - Andy Breckman is also the writer of the "Monk" TV series and ](https://wfmu.org/playlists/SD)a few other things. He's also a radio host on New Jersey's WFMU radio station (for over 30 years). He's a very funny guy IRL.

i love wfmu, glad to see them still rollin, Night People was probably the biggest piece of comfort media that i've ever had the pleasure to enjoy and i still show people the 7sd where they call people and try and get them to stay on the phone the longest amount of time but they only get ten words, absolute tears every time, there are so many classic episodes really, the puppetmaster ones also big favorites
