Excuse me for my ignorance, but what is the importance? Which questions does this answer, what does it confirm, and what does it mean for the future? As a layman, I'm in the dark on this.

Importance: We can check if our models are accurate. We found something that was only in theories/hypothesises. There are some science buzz words like antimatter imbalance or dark matter thrown around but I don't believe it is that significant until they will get a noble. Still very cool stuff.

Questions: IDK as I am not an expert

Future: more money for reaserch?
