It has been asked among other thing 3 months ago, so I'm now bumping it as its own request: I am not on lemmy to see stuff from youtube, twitter, Murdoch-owned trash media, you see the point.

Please add "block by url" to Filters, or have Keywords Filter parse the address the link points to too.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah this is something I want to add. Should not be too bad. Can you give some specific examples? I assume you want to block specific (and entire) domains.

This is from the Connect app :

Full list atm is : youtu.be, youtube.com, x.com, thesun.co.uk, imgur.com, nypost.com, telegraph.co.uk, mirror.co.uk

Thanks! It is a really important feature to me. May not helping with the echo chamber but frak it: my phone, my time, my eyeballs - my choice.

Have a nice day :)

Not OP but fully agree - I don't enjoy video content so my personal block list would filter youtube.com and any of their shortened aliases like youtu.be and I personally would also filter x.com as if you accidentally click it you'll likely get the you need an account to view this nonsense
