I'm not so sure. India is much more a power player compared to Hungary. Orban needs Putin. But Modi does not need Putin, Putin needs Modi.

I think he's just playing both sides, similar to Erdogan.

The whole west, really. If Ukraine wins, their energy and food exports will become potentially useful. Modi wants to come out on top no matter who wins, that is very much his MO.
