I wish they could catch Alex Jones there so that for once in his life his hatred could have a fucking consequence

Australia would probably deny him entry like they did with Cadence Owens before he would even reach the city.

I'd love to see the video of that. Would be hilarious

Who wants to make a bet when the first nazi will get booked for this

Tough call. My heart wants to say July 1, 2026. But my head says pawbably never because VicPol have some serious anti-LGBTQ+ issues.

A bunch of cookers will be out on the day to challenge the law.

Yes, but to be fair, the question was when someone would be booked for doing it, not when someone would break the law.

This is the first I've ever heard of that, and I've never seen any evidence of it either.

Vicpol seem openly supportive of the LGBTI community too

There literally isn't a single link of supporting evidence I can find on Google either on the first few pages and nothing except support and inclusion.... I also know a lot of them have been very open about accepting all people during recruitment too.

Wanna lick boot a little harder there?

Posie Parker's anti-trans rally, March 18, 2023. Nazi's threw the salute, the cops protected them, and while they did so they beat and pepper-sprayed a number of LGBTQ+ counter-protesters. VicPol's actions were condemned, and a big part of why the salute was outlawed in this state.

February 4, 2024, protesters douse VicPol members with paint at the Midsumma Pride March. VicPol comes out labelling them as "thugs" despite the fact that protests have occurred for over a decade against their participation.

One year later, Midsumma issues a directive banning wearing of uniforms by marching members of the emergency services. VicPol withdraws, citing organisers denying them from having armed support/security.

I can keep going if you would like more dates and references. We could discuss other Australian events, like the first Mardi Gras. Or international events, like the Stonewall Riots. Suffice it to say that police, including VicPol, have been suppressing the freedom and rights of LGBTQ+ people the world over for a very long time. Unless you're a member of the community, which I suspect you're not, you couldn't possibly understand the depth of that. A few token actions to try and counter that, does not make the apple any less rotten.

And there's Nik Dimopoulos, the gay guy that lived next to a queer bookshop. Police broke in to his apartment, failed to identify themselves and then fractured his arm so bad that bone in his upper arm was broken in to multiple pieces. And he wasn't the guy they were looking for....
