This looks very reminiscent of Death Race, Nitro, and similar games from the Amiga era. First play was indeed fun!

Here's some misc. first impressions:

  • sound and music is spot on.
  • steering is a little confusing. The "pie" controls were not great so now I'm trying the "side buttons" but - is there a difference where on "<<<" you press, like sharper steering near the side? I can't tell.
  • starting a championship, it would be sweet to have a moment to see which course it is, before the countdown starts. Esp. because there's no prior indication of which courses will be on the docket (not that it mattered for me, I dove straight in after a single go at the "welcome" track, but still).
  • I really can't tell what power-up I'm carrying, and thus what will happen when I press the button. The graphics are just too small.
  • I love how there's no superfluous intro screens, transitions, profiles, etc.

Keep up the good work!
