MODERATORS
Apparently some celebrities (real or internet) have said they had blue checks applied to them unwillingly. I remember some shitposter (maybe dril or Internet Hippo?) was intentionally trying to lose their blue check for a while by violating whatever blue check TOS related to usernames.
They are still on Twitter and driving traffic to the platform so 🤷
They should just move to mastodon
In some ways I get it because it's better to be fighting on the frontlines than preaching to the choir ie. people that already agree with you. But it's also a waste of time right now because le algorithm will just deprioritize your posts or you'll get shadow banned because it turns out that the 'free speech' crowd that wants to freely insult anyone without consequences also have the thinnest skins around and are the biggest pearl clutchers whenever the tables are turned.
Exactly. Why put yourself through a bunch of bad-faith arguments if the platform itself hates you?
