Hey all!

Figured we’d try something like this. Let me know what you all think, and if you have any feedback on what you would like a weekly thread like this to look like. Thanks

What are you all playing? Anything you got from the steam sale you’re enjoying?

I just finished Call Of Duty Black Ops - Cold War, and it was kind of ¯\(ツ)/¯. The campaign was short and the story felt kind of patched together - graphically it wa surely top notch, but I guess nothing will ever come close to MW2.

Final Fantasy 14

I left almost two years ago, when I was at the end of the base game (I just needed to do those three big Alliance Raids). Now I'm in the first expansion, Heavensward, and am slowly going through it. I think I'm almost done with the base 51-60 story.

Since I work from home, I'm constantly in the game, semi-afk while doing something else, mostly hanging around in the Gold Saucer and farming those MGP.

I'm basically only playing DPS. A lot of Summoner and Samurai, some Machinist and Red Mage, all of which are alright, and just unlocked Reaper and am gonna try that one next. I'm not interested in tanking right now, but I did just start to level as a White Mage as well, and might go through a few low level dungeons, just checking stuff out.

The game is definitely a fun time-killer, but I absolutely prefer the combat in WoW, which is the most important thing to me, and will most likely go back to that eventually, depending on how the current expansion continues.

Been playing Assassin's Creed Odessey lately. It's fun and big, but I think, ultimately, Origins was a better game. There was a lot more cultural diversity present and they changed some mechanics for the worse imho. But it's kinda cool how smooth it runs on my Linux machine!

I actually liked Odyssey way more than Origins. Haven‘t even played Origins through, simply didn‘t hook me.

I've been playing TOTK for a few weeks now and I think I'll revisit BOTW soon...

Been mostly playing Dave the Diver on the steamdeck. It's such a relaxing, cute but at times stressful game that works brilliantly to just chill with in the evening on the couch.

And since there's Money Island content coming to it, I finally took a look at Sea of Thieves and I'm having a blast with it even though I totally suck at sailing and managing a ship alone is hard. I really just wish there was some kind of progression besides cosmetics in it :(
