The gif in question:

Goats have a goatee, goat-feet, a perceptible smell, horns, and sound like an evil laugh. Also, they have a nasty habit of taking people by surprise in places no sane people would imagine a large animal could be.

No need to mess with deer in weird positions.

So... deer are mantids?! I thought they were alien reptilians... I'm so in the weeds...

[–] Ste41th@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Even more in the weeds when you realise that’s not a deer

Yeah, ikr it’s an antelope!

[–] latenightnoir@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah, I saw it once I squinted. I'm gambling a lot on low-res pattern recognition in terms of visual acuity nowadays... Whatever, antelopes are basically just bougie deer, idec...

idec...

Its amazing how well people can read sarcasm through text lol

Although only as a disingenuously aloof retort meant to shift attention away from my worsening decrepitude:))) Theatre, nothing more.

Yup it's called the gerenruk

[–] NafiTheBear@pawb.social 4 points 1 week ago

I think there was a reference to it in infinite train as well, but I can't remember where exactly.
