Mojeek isn’t the only one with a fully independent index, Kagi also has its own index no? https://help.kagi.com/kagi/search-details/search-sources.html

Those have their own index, but supplement their results from others. Tbh, semi-independent providers would be recommended in their early stages for a like-for-like experience.

Qwant is shady as well, was sending data to Bing Ads for a few years

As a French company, it has the obligation to store your IP, and their privacy policy is ridiculous
