What I take away from this is to make a general strike possible we need to put in the work to build the necessary infrastructure in the form of more unionizing. And we need to appeal to workers to encourage them to make the decision to strike instead of declaring a strike from a position of privilege, and expecting others to put their livelihoods on the line. That means leftists also need to put in the work to form solid relationships with unions including in their own workplaces.
