Comments are broken pretty bad right now-I think we all know that. Is there progress being made on fixing this? Does the dev team know and are working on it?

No comments appear anywhere but my inbox.

I suppose this might be an issue of your language settings. Posts and comments can be tagged with a language and you will only be able to see these if you enabled the language in settings. Btw you can select multiple languages there, I'd recommend to enable at least English and Undetermined (which is the default for untagged comments).
