I mean, they would have started appearing in there from the first moment that someone created one and hosted it somewhere, no? So it's already been a thing for a couple years now, I believe.

It’s obvious when you think about it, only there’s so much to think about that I, for one, didn’t expect that. Of course, images could always have been faked, but when I googled <famous person> and found a photorealistic image, I took it at face value. I guess that needs to change now.
