The batteries on that image in the article look like standard button cell type batteries (not sure that's the correct name for those...). But I never saw any of these that are rechargeable? Are these developed by fairphone? I'd love some rechargeable button cell batteries.
Yeah, same! Looks like the name is coin or button battery and it seems like they do exist as an rechargeable option but it's really hard to find them from on Amazon ...
I did replace the batteries on my Sony earbuds to partial success. The batteries were not hard to find, I just had to dig around slightly for the right model. I actually even managed to upgrade since there was a new model of the battery since the earbuds had come out.
