I actually see both of these as good things.

Hear me out.

I'm an NDP voter, and I think they needed to get crushed in this election. The federal NDP need a wake up call. I sincerely hope this will be it. They need to remember why people vote for them, and actually stand out as a true socialist, progressive option, not just Liberal-lite. With any luck this defeat will burn that version of the party to the ground and allow the real NDP to emerge from the ashes.
