I am curious how people find new communities or if there is a list of communities somewhere as they are generated?

I use Jerboa and other then the ones I initially added via the search tool using keywords of my interests, I only seem to find new instances when someone mentions in it in a comment or when I stumble upon one in my Local instance feed.

How do you discover new communities and keep up to date?

I'm subscribed to the community !newcommunities@lemmy.world .Additionally I'll occasionally browse All, but most of the time it's from people mentioning a new community in a discussion.

I like this community too! May be worth noting that, even though it’s located on lemmy.world, it’s not limited to mentioning communities on lemmy.world
