Mechanic: Can you start the car? Can you even get into your car? Does it make any sounds when you try to start it? Are all 4 tires there?

Except people hear

Mechanic: Can you check the crankshaft journal? Does compression ratio of the combustion chamber match the output of catalytic converter?

On a side note, in my country

Customer: Ok, my car is a SV2 87K.

Is enough for

Mechanic: That's your license plate. According to the DVLA that's a Green 2008 Lexus, 2.2 220TD SE. Does that sound right?
