Gutters started overflowing. Thankfully it was the release valve near the tank and not anything else (just cleaned the bloody things a week and a bit ago).

But golly gosh when I hear water gushing I get completely paranoid now after all the water woes over the last few years.

All fixed now (touch wood), but after years of roof leaks and overflowing gutters Iโ€™m very triggered by dripping noises
