They're only sorry now that their customer base is clapping back and is probably affecting their bottom-line cause of their shit products.
As the CCP currently has a vested interest for interfering (China's population crisis), will they choose to side with the failing businesses or their citizens? Civil unrest doesn't really go away without causing long-lasting consequences such as the Evergrande real estate market crisis of 2021 for China.
Replenishing your failing population count isn't possible if mothers don't have proper support systems to raise children. But at the same time, this is the CCP a known dictatorship and we all know they're morally/ethically bankrupt. So it'll be interesting to see what happens as they might have to choose either a path with significant long-lasting economic repercussions or updated consumer protection policies.
