Not only is this incredibly hateful, but also incredibly stupid (see below), but it's also incredibly hilarious that the only apparent way for him to do so is to issue medical discharges - which means they're eligible for military benefits such as GI Bill, the VA, and disability compensation. I hope someone fights this both to rule it unconstitional, but also to see if they can disability payments while still having this "medical issue".

The US was kicking gay and trans people out of the military that were translators. Languages that they were hurting to fill. They are literally hurting themselves, but I know they don't care.
He's doing exactly what Putin asked.
If you believe what Musk is saying, some of the things his "2 trillion savings" pretty much has to cut is VA, Disability benefits and Unemployment. Most of the rest of the budget is stuff that has forever been used to maintain false GOP support in poorer states.
Of course, the lion's share of that number is that his PAC Actually Said he would stop debt payments, which would immediately lead to a world catastrophe, also would need all of Congress and Senate to roll over and play dead so that number is hopefully complete bunk.
The dumb thing is that currently you can get gender affirming surgery in the military even if you're trans. The VA only offers hormones and therapy to trans people.
