Well, it forced Putin's hand, showed his cards.
I'm sure the US is holding on to some crazy mil tech they've yet to unleash.
The hypersonic missiles were known to exist, but unknown if they were functional. Now they know.
How many do they have, though?
Russia thinks the missiles are invincible. Mach11 is damn fast.
Living fairly close to a couple US mil research bases, though, I know there are things already in the skies that make no sense in how they operate, but definitely exist.
All ICMB type missiles reach hypersonic velocity. It's gravity that does this.
Actual hypersonics according to NATO, are missiles that use engines to propel at hypersonic speeds AND can maneuver at that speed.
This is the F15 all over again. An actual development to a perceived Russian threat that only exists in Russian rhetoric and dreams.
