Is it really the old people being influenced by TV or are they just voting the same stuff they have all their life not caring at all about what's going on?
At least in Germany the 60+ year olds are almost impossible for the far right to reach as they are firmly sticking with the center parties. They were also the only age group where the center parties didn't lose voters over the last decade while they lost most of their voters to different parties on the political spectrum
If the mainstream media had no effect the right wouldn't have spent 40 years dismantling it.
It certainly has an effect on the population that isn't stuck at voting the same over and over
Believe it or not even conservatives need their opinions validated. It's the reason anytime I talk to my father I'm given a straight up manufactured republican talking points.
Here's a little secret, they aren't that smart. They are the reason the Nigerian price scam exists to this day.
Deprogram the TV, by blocking certain channels.
