Wir planen kommenden Sonntag, am 27.10., eine Migration unserer Datenbank zu einer aktuelleren Version.

Gegen 15:00 wird die Datenbank heruntergefahren, was darin resultiert dass feddit.org nicht benutzbar sein wird. Wir erwarten eine Downtime von ca. 15-20 Minuten, um 15:30 sollte wieder alles laufen.

Aufgrund von Lemmys persistenter Föderationswarteschlange werden uns dabei keine Aktivitäten von anderen Lemmyinstanzen verloren gehen, es wird jedoch vermutlich noch einige Minuten länger dauern bis wir wieder zu allen Instanzen aufgeschlossen haben. Von anderer Fediversesoftware können eventuell Posts, Kommentare oder Votes verloren gehen wenn diese nicht mit Downtime auf der Empfängerseite umgehen können.

We are planning a migration of our database to a more recent version next Sunday, on 27th of October.

Around 15:00 CET we will shut down the database, which results in feddit.org becoming unusable. We're expecting a downtime of around 15-20 minutes, at 15:30 everything should be working again.

Due to Lemmy's persistent federation queue we won't lost any activities von other Lemmy instances, but it will likely take a few more minutes to catch up with all other instances. We may be losing some posts, comments and likes from other fediverse software during this period if they cannot handle downtime on the receiving side.

Heads-up: das ist Wartungfenster Nr.1 von 2 - wir ziehen nämlich den ganzen Server zu einem späteren Datum auf eine neue Virtualisierungslösung um. Das wird aber gerade geplant und wir geben da nochmal extra Bescheid.

Heads up: this is maintenance window number 1 of 2 - we are moving the entire server to a new virtualization solution at a later date. This is currently being planned and we will let you know separately.
